Dry Briquette

Utilizing the natural characteristics of dust, it is heated to exploit its plasticity at high temperatures, then compressed into briquettes using a high-pressure briquetting machine. These briquettes are subsequently sent to converters to substitute for scrap steel or ore. This method does not require special binders and achieves a certain strength. However, the production of hot briquettes must be conducted under high temperatures and in an oxygen-free environment, demanding high equipment and process control standards, substantial initial investment, and making long-term smooth production challenging to achieve.

Cold Briquette

Many enterprises add a small amount of binder to dust and sludge, compressing them into briquettes through a cold-solidification process. These are used in converter slagging to improve dephosphorization rates, enhance slagging effects, and prevent splashing.
